Northern Tanzania is home to the world's finest game viewing, in the Serengeti and Tarangire national parks and in the nearby Ngorongoro Crater. Accessed easily from Kilimanjaro Airport, we begin our exploration of these reserve areas with classic game-drives amongst abundant wildlife. However, it is our 3 full days of walking across the Serengeti, accompanied by Masai guides and camping out under the big African sky, which makes this trip so special. Ticking off the "Big Five" from the back of a 4-wheel-drive vehicle is rewarding in itself. But, it is an altogether more memorable experience to head out into the bush on foot. This unique safari holiday also includes a visit to the "Cradle of Mankind" at Olduvai Gorge and the option to make the tough ascent of the Masai's sacred peak, Lengai (2878m.) for far-reaching views over nearby Lake Natron and the spectacular landscape of the Crater Highlands. This is, quite simply, the finest walking safari currently on offer.

Brief Trip Outline & Notes:
Day 1. Depart UK early morning and rrive in Arusha late evening. Transfer to the Impala Hotel.
(Land only clients join at hotel).
Day 2. In Tarengire National Park.
Day 3. In Ngorongoro Crater National Park.
Day 4. In Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti National Park.
Days 5-7. Walking safari through the Gol Hills to the base of Mount Lengai.
Day 8. Optional hike to the crater of Mount Lengai (2800m).
Day 9. Return to Arusha.
Day 10. Depart Arusha. (Land only clients depart)
Day 11. Arrive UK.
