An Introduction to Africa

The African continent holds almost limitless opportunity for adventure travel. From Casablanca to Cape Town and all points in between, there is a wealth of contrasting territories to see and explore. In the far north-east, the delightfully exotic country of Morocco is fast becoming one of our most popular destinations and our choice of 3 exceptional trekking holidays in the Atlas and Jebel Sahro ranges remains unchanged. Elsewhere, our one-of-a-kind desert trek in northern Niger, together with our long-established 17-day Mount Kenya & Kilimanjaro trek and the superbTanzania Walking Safari have also proved to be great successes. However, with 4 brand new trips and improvements to 2 of our Kilimanjaro treks, we have significantly broadened the scope of our new programme of African holidays. For example, we are now offering a trekking ascent of Kilimanjaro via the quiet and scenic Rongai Route within a holiday of just 9 days. Representing a welcome return to Uganda, the first of our "new" trips is a challenging circuit trek in the Ruwenzoris which includes the ascents of the 3 highest peaks in this spectacular and rarely visited range. Another new and exciting holiday which promises an unusual mix of culture and distinctive landscapes visits the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia. Further south, we are proposing a first-time visit to the sunshine state of South Africa, where we have put together the definitive Drakensberg Trekking holiday, whilst in neighbouring Namibia, our comprehensive new 2-week touring trip includes all the highlights of this astonishing country.
