Combining the delights of Bhutan and Nepal, two mountainous kingdoms renowned for their magnificent scenery, this brilliant touring adventure is unique to this company. Travelling to Bhutan via Nepal, the 45-minute flight from Kathmandu provides an exciting introduction, in the form of stunning aerial views of Everest, Makalu and Kangchenjunga. Each of our departures has been timed to coincide with the climax of one of the most important of Bhutan's famously colourful Buddhist festivals, which feature masked dancers in dazzling silk costumes, whirling and leaping against a background of sky and mountains. Returning to Nepal, we have lots of time for exploring the charming capital city and also for relaxing at the lakeside Fishtail Lodge, where we can marvel at the snow-clad peaks of the Annapurnas. A visit to the world-famous Chitwan Jungle Lodge, where forest walks and an elephant safari are options, completes this very special touring holiday.

Day 3. Morning free in Kathmandu. Fly to Paro, Bhutan. (2250m).
Day 4. In Paro. Festival and sightseeing.
Day 5. Drive to Punakha and return to Thimphu.
Day 6. Drive to Paro.
Day 7. Fly to Kathmandu. Sightseeing.
Day 8. Full day of activities in Kathmandu.
Day 9. Fly to Pokhara. Fish Tail Lodge.
Day 10. Full day of sightseeing in and around Pokhara.
Days 11-12. Chitwan National Park. Return to Kathmandu.
Day 13. Free day in Kathmandu.
