Sikkim - The Singalila Ridge - CONTACT US

16 days - A splendid trek along the India / Nepal border - Atmospheric hotels from the days of the British Raj - Darjeeling and Gangtok - Unbeatable mountain views

Sandwiched between Nepal and Bhutan, the ancient kingdom of Sikkim is one of the least-visited of the Himalayan lands and remains charmingly unspoiled. This very special 2-week Sikkimese adventure combines a delightful 6-day walk with visits to a number of enthralling towns and monasteries. After a day's sightseeing in Darjeeling, our trek follows the crest of the Singalila Ridge, a prominent spur of high ground which runs south from the towering presence of Kangchenjunga (8586m.), the world's third highest peak. Forming a natural border between Nepal and India, this ridge is renowned as being one of the most scenically rewarding in the entire Himalaya, with views of Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Everest and Lhotse. Including a visit to the Sikkimese capital of Gangtok, this extraordinary and very popular holiday offers both a relaxing high mountain trek and a brilliant cultural experience.
