The WORLD'S HIGHEST TREK - CONTACT US
27 days - The Ultimate Tibetan High Adventure - Trek to Camp III on Everest's north side route - Reach the summit of Lhakpa Ri (7045m.) - Spectacular Lhasa
Many of you who have climbed Himalayan or Andean 5000 and 6000 metre peaks will have asked the question - "where can I find a straightforward, objectively safe and aesthetically appealing 7000 metre summit." One answer to this is the superbly positioned and historically significant peak of Lhakpa Ri (7045m.) which lies directly opposite Everest's Northeast Ridge on the watershed between the East Rongbuk and Kharta glaciers. First ascended by Bill Tilman during the 1936 Everest Reconnaissance Expedition, this is a real walk-up peak, notwithstanding its great height. Taking care over our acclimatisation, we spend several days in Lhasa and then go on to establish 2 camps between Everest Basecamp in the Rongbuk Valley and Camp III (Advanced Basecamp) at 6400 metres beneath the North Col. Our reward for the final, strenuous ascent, across easy-angled snow slopes, to the summit of Lhakpa Ri is some of the finest Himalayan scenery imaginable, including Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Lhotse and the dominating Everest.
